Vapeopedia

Ever wondered what all those fancy acronyms and words in a vapers world mean??

What is a vape thing??

A vapouriser or otherwise known as an e-cigarette is a handheld electronic device that simulates the feeling of tobacco smoking. It works by heating a liquid to generate an aerosol, commonly called a "vapor", that the user inhales. Using e-cigarettes is commonly referred to as vaping.

Read on....for an OMG/LOL....

ADV/All Day Vape: An e-liquid which is ideal for vaping all day.
ATHRA: Australian Tobacco Harm Reduction Association
Amps: Short for ampere, a measure of electrical current. E-Cig batteries are measured in milli amh hours (1/1000 of an ampere).
Atty: Abbreviation for atomiser.
Box Mod/Device: Coming in many forms of shapes, designs and capacity of battery power comprising of Internal/External batteries being either Variable Wattage/Voltage/Mechanical, a Mod/Device is the base unit we use to power our Tanks/Atomizers/RDA
Coil: A coil is a removable part in the tank, combined with cotton at many resistances that heats e-liquid and turns it into vapour. Change frequently....
Doubler: Is an E-liquid made as a concentrated form, leaving the user to either top up with pg/vg or a nicotine solution. Dont vape this without mixing.

DL: Stands for "direct Lung"...Another way, more direct inhale.
Drip Tip: See > Mouthpiece
Dry Hit: Either a combination of the cotton not wicking correctly or you just have not filled the tank. More liquid is usually required.
Flooding: Occurs when e-juice floods into the atomiser.
mAh: Milli amp hour (1/1000th of an amp hour)
Mouthpiece: Replicating where we would have placed our mouth on a cigarette.
MTL: Stands for "mouth to lung"..Mimicking the action of how we smoke, the inhale.
Ohms: A measure of electronic resistance. Used to measure the resistance of heating coils in atomisers.
PG: Propylene Glycol is also called propane-1,2-diol, is a synthetic organic compound with the chemical formula C₃H₈O₂. It is a viscous colorless liquid which is nearly odorless but possesses a faintly sweet taste. Used as a base ingredient for concentrates used when making e-liquids.
RBA: Rebuildable Atomiser
RBTA: Rebuildable Tank Atomiser
RDA: Rebuildable Dripping Atomiser
Resistance: Refers to the resistance of the coil in the atomiser (measured in Ohms). A lower resistance produces more heat and vapour.

RTV/Singler: Is an E-liquid, which is "ready to vape"..already made to vape.
Sub Ohming: Vaping with a coil with a resistance set below one ohm.
TC (Temperature Control): When you set the temperature to farenheit/celcius rather than the voltage or wattage. Only for compatible coils Ni/Ti/SS.

THR (Tobacco Harm Reduction): Much of the scientific support for the electronic cigarette has come from scientists involved in tobacco harm reduction.
Vaper’s Tongue: Refers to a loss of taste, from suddenly going off a flavour to losing all taste for flavours.
Vape Porn: I love this one..Traditionally refers to raunchy pictures of vapes and e-liquid.
Vent: We dont wish to see batteries do this EVER , so take precaution and monitor if any damage has occurred/dents, wrapping torn. Keep batteries safe and away fom loose metals, encased when storing/travelling.
Vent holes: Designed as a safety feature in devices, these allow gases to be expelled from the battery.

VG: Vegetable Glycerin is a common compnan . It is a colorless, odorless, viscous liquid that is sweet-tasting and non-toxic. It is widely used in the food industry as a sweetener and humectant and in pharmaceutical formulations.
Wick/Cotton: A small piece of fabric or cotton which is found in the coil/cartridge. The wick absorbs the e-liquid and in turn (with of course some battery power) creates vapour.

The End...not really im sure there are many more...but its a start.
